dana washington
(b. 1985, Southern California) is a visual artist working in text and voice,
cinema, video installation, and photography. Through such mediums she examines social
and cultural concepts around Black identity, queerness, and the psychic-sublime through
an exploration of historical fiction and memory.

washington received a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Long Beach
and is a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts candidate at the University of California, San Diego.
